Accessibility statement

HealthTechTonic is meant for everyone who works in healthcare technology, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or a phone on a night shift. We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA on this site and on the learning platform.

What we do about it

  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, and the focus outline is always visible.
  • Animation draws once and then stops. If your device is set to reduce motion, the animation does not run at all.
  • Text and controls are tested against the WCAG contrast minimums.
  • The menu works on a phone, with touch targets large enough to hit.
  • Worksheets and handouts in the courses come with a plain-text version for screen readers, phones, and anyone without Excel.
  • Practice questions announce the result to screen readers after each answer.

Known gaps

We test with automated tools, a keyboard walk, and a screen reader spot check. Automated tools find only part of the problems, so some will get past us. The learning platform is a separate application from this site and has its own gaps, which we fix as we find them. Material that comes from another publisher may not meet the same bar.

Tell us what is not working

Use the anonymous feedback form and choose “The site or login.” Say which page you were on and what you were using, such as a screen reader name or a phone. The form is anonymous, so we cannot reply to you, but we read every message and fix what we can. If you want a reply, write to learner-privacy-htt@htm-partners.com and put “Accessibility” in the subject line.
